Russia

After years of travel, I dare to say that Russia is the most interesting place I have ever visited. I had the good fortune to spend a semester in Moscow. It was one of the most fascinating experiences I have ever had. From the Soviet-style bureaucracy to visiting Vladimir Lenin’s embalmed body, every day in Moscow was a true adventure. Of course, perceiving the world’s largest country through my narrow vision of Moscow and Saint Petersburg is wrong. Russia's vast interior could sometimes feel impenetrable to outsiders. I only wish I may have the chance to explore more of Russia and discover the geographic and ethnic diversity of this vast nation.
