Camino Portugués
Among all the major Camino routes of today, Camino Portugués is the second most popular route and one of the best options for first-time pilgrims like myself. As the name suggests, the route originates from Portugal, with Porto or Lisbon being the most common starting point. Since I only had two weeks off from my full-time job, starting out from Porto seems an obvious choice. What made this route particularly enticing were all the different variations available to pilgrims, such as Senda Litoral and Variante Espiritual. Conceptually, having two entirely different routes out of Porto is possible. Join me on my first Camino!
