Canada
Canada, the world’s second-largest country, is renowned for its pristine wilderness and cultural diversity. Due to its proximity to the United States, Canada could sometimes be regarded as a more polite and sober sibling of its southern neighbors. Canada's perceived lack of “cultural shocks” put me off for years. It was not until recently that I discovered the unique national identities, such as French-dominant Quebec, to the maritime heritage of Nova Scotia. With nine out of every ten Canadians living within 100 miles of the border with the United States, the rest of this vast country can sometimes feel mysterious. Canada may be the most underappreciated travel destination.
